Here's how it works: TVGuardian users watch a "new release" movie, keeping track of the number of words
edited and missed by the TVGuardian. Then, use the form below to submitt the results. We post the results for everyone to see. Why? Many of our customers have asked us to provide information about how effectively the TVGuardian works on newly released movies. We loved the idea, so we created the "TVGuardian Community."
Some movies are cleaned-up exceptionally well (better than the average 95%). Parents can
use the posted results as a resource when choosing which movies are safer to rent. How to Participate: - First, rent or buy a movie that is not already posted in the "TVGuardian Community."
- Turn on your VCR and TV, and start the video. Move the switch in the back of your
TVGuardian to the OFF position and then move the switch back to the on position. This will reset your TVGuardian. Make sure your TVGuardian is set to the "Strict Setting."
- Watch the movie, being careful to keep track of any words missed by the TVGuardian.
- When the movie is finished, turn the TVGuardian off and back on again. The TVGuardian will display the number of words filtered since the last time the
TVGuardian was turned off. Now you know how many words were filtered...and based on your notes, how many words the TVGuardian missed.
- Finally, return to this page and submit your results and we will post them for everyone to see.
